CEMMAC Contributes to Road Reconstruction in Horné Srnie
CEMMAC is committed to supporting the region in which it operates. A recent example of this commitment is the company's funding of the reconstruction of the most heavily damaged section of Športovcov Street in Horné Srnie, which had been subjected to years of intensive heavy vehicle traffic.
Preparatory work began on 19 May 2026, with concrete paving carried out on 26 May. In a single day, more than 1,300 m² of new pavement was constructed using CB III concrete pavement. Following the successful completion of all works, the road was officially reopened to the public on 18 June 2026. The reconstruction was carried out by CEMMAC Beton s.r.o.
Given the high traffic loads on this section of the road, concrete pavement was selected instead of asphalt. Under demanding conditions, concrete offers greater durability, a longer service life, and improved long-term performance.
In its official statement of appreciation, the Municipality of Horné Srnie thanked CEMMAC for its support, noting that the company's funding made it possible to reconstruct a section of road that will contribute to safer and more reliable transport for residents and road users.
The project is another example of how CEMMAC integrates corporate social responsibility into its day-to-day operations. Through practical initiatives like this, the company continues to support infrastructure development and improve the quality of life in the local community.
The successful completion of the project was symbolically marked by a meeting on the newly reconstructed road between Juraj Húserka, Mayor of Horné Srnie, and Ján Chobot, Executive Director of CEMMAC Beton s.r.o. The new road stands as a tangible result of the successful cooperation between the municipality and CEMMAC, united by a shared commitment to creating safer, higher-quality infrastructure for the region.
