CEMMAC at the BETÓN | CEMENT 2026 Conference
Experts from the cement and concrete industries gathered at Štrbské Pleso on 1–2 October for the BETÓN | CEMENT 2026 conference. Organised by the Slovak Association of Ready-Mixed Concrete Producers and the Association of Cement Producers of Slovakia, the event provided a platform for sharing expertise and discussing current developments in the construction industry.
CEMMAC a.s. was represented by its Sales Director, members of the sales team and representatives of CEMMAC Betón. The conference offered an opportunity to meet industry professionals, exchange knowledge and discuss developments in the cement and concrete sectors.
The programme also featured a presentation by Radovan Škripec of CEMMAC entitled “Two Years of Experience with a Photovoltaic Power Plant at a Cement Plant.” His presentation focused on the experience gained from operating a ground-mounted photovoltaic power plant in a cement manufacturing environment.
The project demonstrates that a ground-mounted PV power plant can provide more than just electricity generated on site. It can also support new approaches to managing energy-intensive production. This means looking at photovoltaics not only as a source of energy, but also in the context of the operational needs of an industrial facility.
Other topics on the conference programme included new types of cement, concrete roads, the environmental performance of construction materials, recycled aggregates and developments in technical standards.
BETÓN | CEMENT 2026 provided a valuable opportunity to share practical experience and discuss the future direction of the industry. For CEMMAC and CEMMAC Betón, it was also an opportunity to connect with industry experts and business partners and exchange views on issues shaping the present and future of construction.
