Building of the Year 2025: Celebrating Innovation and the Future of Slovak Construction




The prestigious Building of the Year 2025 competition once again showcased Slovakia's most outstanding architectural and construction projects—developments that are helping shape the country's future. The 31st edition of the awards took place at the Winter Riding Hall of Bratislava Castle, highlighting projects distinguished by innovation, functionality, and lasting social value.

National Olympic Centre for Aquatic Sports, Košice – A modern sports complex designed to meet international standards for both elite athletes and the general public. The project was recognised for its architectural clarity, energy-efficient technologies, and sustainable operational solutions.

Building of the Year – Civil Engineering Structures

R2 Kriváň–Mýtna Expressway – A 13.5-kilometre section of modern transport infrastructure that improves road safety and traffic flow while showcasing the expertise and engineering excellence of Slovakia's construction industry.
