Ninth-Grade Students from Nemšová Explore the Secrets of Cement Production

Even the hottest summer days do not stop us from welcoming schools to our cement plant. We were delighted to host another group of students and teachers, giving them the opportunity to learn about our operations and discover the complete cement manufacturing process—from raw materials to the finished product.

This time, we welcomed ninth-grade students from the United Catholic School in Nemšová. During the visit, the group of fifteen students gained first-hand insight into the day-to-day operation of the cement plant, explored the individual stages of cement production, and learned more about the modern technologies used throughout our facility.

Throughout the tour, our colleagues Marián Šimko, Annamária Králiková, and Mária Lukáčová guided the students around the plant and answered many thoughtful and engaging questions. The aim of the visit was not only to introduce the cement manufacturing process but also to demonstrate how the knowledge students acquire at school is applied in a real industrial environment.

We were especially pleased to receive such positive feedback from the accompanying teacher. Barbora Kadlecová, who participated in the visit, shared the following comments:

"The visit was both highly informative and engaging. Throughout the tour, we were accompanied by friendly and knowledgeable employees who explained every stage of the production process in detail. We had the opportunity to observe the manufacturing process first-hand, see the technologies used, and gain valuable practical insights.
I particularly appreciated the clear and engaging way in which the information was presented. The employees actively involved the students, explained the individual processes using practical examples, and helped them understand the importance of cement production. Their professional yet approachable attitude created a welcoming atmosphere throughout the visit.

The tour helped us better understand the theoretical concepts we teach in the classroom by demonstrating their practical application in a real industrial setting. Thank you for your warm hospitality, the time you dedicated to us, and this valuable educational experience."

We sincerely appreciate these kind words and are delighted that the visit was both educational and inspiring for the students and their teachers. We look forward to welcoming more schools in the future and continuing to introduce young people to the world of industry, technology, and cement manufacturing.
