The 12th edition of the Children and Architecture 2025/2026 project, organised for the first time under the ASB brand, concluded with a ceremonial exhibition opening and an architectural tour of Bratislava. This year's theme, "Wood in Architecture," inspired hundreds of children from across Slovakia and once again demonstrated that architecture can encourage young people to explore space with creativity, curiosity, and sensitivity.

The closing event, held at the TU-BA platform in Bratislava, brought together the 20 winners of the art competition, along with their parents, teachers, and project partners. A total of 677 pupils from primary schools and primary schools of art participated in this year's competition.

The programme also included a guided architectural tour of Bratislava, where participants explored both modern and historic landmarks, including the Jurkovič Heating Plant and Slovakia's first timber kindergarten, developed by JTRE. The day concluded with a visit to the Šebo Lichý Architects studio, offering children a unique opportunity to experience the work of professional architects firsthand.

Participants particularly appreciated the opportunity to experience architecture in its real-life context and to see how it interacts with public spaces, greenery, and everyday life.

The organisers also unveiled the theme for the 2026/2027 edition of the project: Sports Architecture.
