Steps towards a sustainable future
At CEMMAC, we are constantly striving to reduce our environmental impact through innovation and ecological projects. Our commitment to sustainability is demonstrated through specific projects that contribute to climate protection and the reduction of our carbon footprint.
Fit for 55 Programme – On the path to reducing emissions
The European Union has committed to reducing greenhouse gas emissions by 55% by 2030 compared to 1990. CEMMAC has been preparing for this goal long-term through investments such as:
- Heat exchanger reconstruction – increasing production efficiency and reducing environmental impact.
- Rail transport – reducing carbon footprint and more efficient cement dispatch.
- Production of ecological cements – reducing dependence on external raw materials and emission limits.
Ecological Cements – A new step in sustainability
Investments in the production of ecological cements have resulted in composite cements that utilize domestic limestone and pozzolan, thereby reducing the ecological footprint in concrete production. This step exemplifies our commitment to sustainable construction and ecological solutions.
Soley Apartment Building – Ecological Construction in Practice
In the Soley apartment building project in Vienna, we worked on a concrete mix with natural pozzolan, which reduces the CO2 footprint by up to 43%. This project demonstrates how green construction can contribute to climate protection and a sustainable future.
